Eito is a free self-assessment tool that helps Australian organisations evaluate their cybersecurity posture against the ACSC Essential Eight framework. The Service:
Eito does not require registration, sign-up, or any personal information to use. There is no user account. Your assessment data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Eito is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. There is no service-level agreement or uptime guarantee.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant:
Using Eito does not guarantee compliance with the Essential Eight framework or protection against cyber threats.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eito and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Eito reports must NOT be used as evidence for cyber insurance applications, renewals, or claims.
Eito helps you understand your security posture. It is not proof of compliance.
Eito is a non-commercial community project. The design, code, and content are original works by Cas Bitton. The Essential Eight framework is developed and maintained by the Australian Cyber Security Centre. Assessment data you create belongs to you.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
If you're a consumer under Australian Consumer Law, certain guarantees apply that cannot be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
